The Lead Agency

Each Continuum of Care (CoC) is responsible for selecting an HMIS software solution that complies with HUD’s data collection, management, and reporting standards.
Appointed and voted on by the Governing Council of the Memphis & Shelby County Homeless Consortium, Community Alliance for the Homeless (CAFTH) is the HMIS Lead Agency in Memphis & Shelby County.

The HMIS System

The HMIS System is a federally funded, secure database that tracks client services and outcomes across multiple agencies, providing a comprehensive view of homelessness in our community. As the lead for this effort, Community Alliance for the Homeless ensures that accurate data is collected and maintained. This information is critical to coordinating resources, measuring progress, and guiding strategies that move individuals and families from homelessness to stable housing.
